Recipients of the Calgary and Treaty 7 territory Regional Accreditation Accelerator program announced

News

We are pleased to announce the recipients of the Calgary Foundation’s Regional Accreditation Accelerator program. The Accelerator provides support for charitable organizations and public-benefit nonprofit organizations based in Calgary and Treaty 7 territory wishing to pursue accreditation through Imagine Canada’s Standards Program.

"At Calgary Foundation, we are committed to supporting organizations in Calgary and Treaty 7 Territory. This initiative not only offers organizations the opportunity to further develop their governance and operations practices through the Standards program, but also focuses on building capacity, ensuring they have the tools and resources to enhance their long-term sustainability. By achieving Standards accreditation, they will demonstrate the highest levels of accountability and transparency to the communities they serve in our region," said Allison Schulz, Vice-President, Capacity Building at the Calgary Foundation.

The Standards Accreditation Program supports organizations in elevating their practices. Achieving Standards accreditation demonstrates an organization’s commitment to excellence to their donors, staff team, and partners. Imagine Canada is pleased to partner with the Calgary Foundation to help organizations identify and mitigate organizational risk, improve governance practices, promote financial transparency and accountability, and foster a strong workforce.

10 organizations will receive in-kind assistance which will provide up to twelve months of free access to the Standards Community, including access to a peer advisor, and a waived Standards application fee. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Calgary Foundation.

“We are proud to partner with the Calgary Foundation to provide this support for organizations in Calgary and Treaty 7 territory and we look forward to seeing the growth of the selected organizations throughout their Standards accreditation process,” said Bruce MacDonald, President & CEO of Imagine Canada.
