Become a Volunteer Peer Reviewer with Imagine Canada's Standards Accreditation
By volunteering with the Standards, you would be joining over 65 peer reviewers from across the country. Our volunteer peer reviewers are central to the work we collectively undertake to assess accreditation and support strengthened organizational practices through a common set of national standards for Canada's charitable and nonprofit organizations.
Currently, there are over 270 organizations accredited by the Standards. Accreditation is achieved by demonstrating organizational practices are aligned in the areas of board governance, financial accountability and transparency, fundraising, staff management, and volunteer involvement.
Current Needs
In order to broaden our pool of reviewers, at this time we are particularly seeking reviewers that meet the following criteria:
- The ability to assess and discuss applications in French;
- Represent an accredited organization and/or have experience with the Imagine Canada standards;
- Based in Québec, Newfoundland and Labrador, or Saskatchewan;
- Law, accounting or finance backgrounds;
- We particularly invite applications from Black people, Indigenous people, and people of colour, people with disabilities, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and those with varied areas of expertise and lived experiences.
If your background is not aligned with the above listed reviewer needs, we would still love to receive an application from you.
