Recipients for the BDO Nonprofit Excellence Accelerator Grants Program announced
10 organizations receive grants to pursue Imagine Canada accreditation
BDO Canada and Imagine Canada are pleased to announce the recipients of the BDO Nonprofit Excellence Accelerator Grants program, a pilot project which offers program fee subsidies to nonprofit organizations wishing to pursue accreditation through Imagine Canada’s Standards Program.
“BDO is excited to partner with Imagine Canada and to support nonprofit organizations looking to pursue accreditation,” said Kelly Hagen, Partner, National Not-For-Profit & Education Leader. “We are committed to connecting and engaging with nonprofit organizations and look forward to working alongside Imagine Canada to support the selected organizations throughout their accreditation journey.”
As the nonprofit environment evolves, it is crucial that charities and nonprofits build donor confidence and identify and mitigate organizational risks, while advancing staff management and volunteer involvement - which is the focus of the accreditation process. The Standards Program is designed to support organizations so they can elevate their practices and demonstrate organizational excellence to their donors, staff, and partners.
“We’re thrilled to partner with BDO Canada to offer grants to a diverse range of organizations from across Canada and we look forward to seeing how the program helps them flourish through the accreditation process and beyond,” said Bruce MacDonald, President & CEO of Imagine Canada.
Congratulations to the grant recipients!

About Imagine Canada Accreditation
Created “by the sector for the sector,” Imagine Canada’s Standards Program is the only national accreditation program that is designed for all Canadian charities and nonprofits. To earn accreditation, organizations must demonstrate excellence in five fundamental areas: board governance; financial accountability and transparency; fundraising; staff management; and volunteer involvement.
