Florence Carey is a lawyer practicing in the area of charities and non-profits, with a focus on corporate governance and Canada Revenue Agency compliance. She is a frequent writer and lecturer on charity law subjects, and is Past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Charity and Not-for-Profit Law Section, Chair of CAGP Manitoba, and a member of the Technical Issues Working Group of CRA’s Charities Directorate. She has served on a number of charity and non-profit boards, and is presently the President of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra. Florence brings solid background in the legal and regulatory framework applicable to charities and nonprofits, and board experience across a range of sectors.
