November 19, 2024 | 1:00pm - 2:00pm
On November 19, we are releasing Navigating New Horizons: The Contributions and Perspectives of Multicultural Canadians, a report examining the contributions and perspectives of multicultural Canadians. Along with the report’s release, we will be taking an exclusive deep dive into the findings with our Member network on Tuesday, November 19 at 1:00PM ET.
Your Membership is organization-wide (including board members!), so please do pass the invitation along to your colleagues.
Why does the report matter?
In 2022, Canada welcomed a historic number of newcomers. Roughly 75% of Canada’s population growth comes from immigration.
This population group is expected to continue to grow; by 2036, immigrants will represent up to 30% of the country’s population, compared with 20.7% in 2011. Immigration also accounts for almost 100% of Canada’s labour force growth. (Source: Statistics Canada) In this report, we examine the levels of giving among multicultural Canadians, the causes they support, their motivations for donating, and the factors that may limit their contributions. We also explore their perspective on charities and giving.
This report provides valuable insight into the motivations and barriers faced by multicultural Canadians in their charitable giving, and we hope you will join us to learn more.
This study was made possible thanks to our Presenting Partner, BMO, with additional support from our Lead Partners, the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, The Canadian Red Cross Society, and KPMG Foundation.
This event will be hosted in English and a recording with bilingual captions will be shared after.
