Darren joined Abundance Canada in 1998 as a Gift Planning Consultant. In 2009, Darren took on the role of CEO. He has an undergraduate degree in Theology and a graduate degree in Leadership. He has completed the CREST leadership program and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation.

Darren has served on several boards including: Kitchener-based Kindred Credit Union, Welcome Inn Community Centre in Hamilton, and the National Board of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) where he served as Chair for two years. He currently sits on the CAGP Foundation board. Darren is a thought leader on generosity and charitable giving. He speaks regularly on these topics at events and conferences across Canada.
