Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience announces new governance model
Toronto, April 4, 2024 - The co-founders of the Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience (CCNDR) today announced a number of new initiatives designed to strengthen and enhance the Centre’s operations to more efficiently help nonprofits leverage data and technology to advance their mission. The co-founder group, which includes the Tamarack Institute, Social Economy through Social Inclusion (SETSI), Digital Governance Council, NTEN, and Imagine Canada, has been operating as a collective and these announcements will continue to evolve the Centre’s functioning. These new initiatives, anchored in the collective’s commitments to governance excellence, accountability and transparency, include moving responsibility for the day-to-day operations to Imagine Canada in a stewarding relationship, engaging more nonprofit sector organizations through a new CCNDR Advisory Council, expanding the roster of funded projects, and enhancing communications and knowledge mobilization activities.
Launched in 2022, CCNDR has sought to support a digitally-enabled nonprofit sector, where Canada’s diverse nonprofits use data and technology to advance their mission and multiply their impact. Since its inception, it has engaged in projects designed to create a digital skills talent model, improve technology leadership skills for nonprofit leaders, and support digital transformation for gender justice organizations serving immigrant and refugee women, to name just a few.
In the coming weeks, CCNDR will be initiating a process to hire its next Executive Director, launching a process to identify interested and skilled individuals to join the Advisory Council, and working on updating its website and public-facing communications.
The CCNDR founders are grateful for the continued support and participation of its funder network who have been steadfast in their support during this transition.
