Marnie Grona is Director, Strategic Communications for Imagine Canada and leads the organization’s strategic communications efforts including corporate communications, brand management, content strategy, media relations and social media engagement. She also leads Imagine Canada’s Amplify our Voice strategic pillar which includes the Trust Project, aimed at understanding and reinforcing public trust and positive perceptions in charities and nonprofits, and the Personal Philanthropy Project, which is focused on developing a new social norm to increase giving by affluent Canadians.
Marnie also has a background in arts marketing and management where she served as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Director of Marketing for the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival and Marketing Manager for the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre.
Marnie has a Masters Certificate in Marketing Communications Leadership with the Schulich School of Business Executive Education Centre and two certificates from the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity for Reconciliation & Right Relations and Leading in the Middle programs. She has also studied Communications, obtaining dual-specialties in marketing and advertising, at the University of Winnipeg and holds a diploma in Arts Management from Confederation College.
